Mini Superdrug haul!

Hello my loves! How are you all? I hope you are having a splendifirous week so far. I know you are not really used to me posting midweek but hey I have a bit of rare spare time so I am going to spend it on you because you deserve it quite frankly! It is just a little haul of things I have ordered and since received from Superdrug (one of my favourite shops ever) and so far I am loving the things I have tried but I will do more of a review of these products in a week or two just so that you know I have used, loved and tested these products so that you get the most honest and knowledgeable review I can possibly give you! So now the ramble is over let's get started!

Hair stuff!

So I never really make that much effort with my hair, it doesn't look a mess by the way I just don't use heat on it or do anything fancy with it. Therefore when my old heat protectant and hairspray ran out I was in no rush to replace them but since my birthday meal is tomorrow and my actual birthday next week, I had no choice but to pop on over to Superdrug and find me some styling products. I kind of already had these L'OREAL Elnett products in mind as I have heard a lot about them and they are very popular yet quite cheap, it was £3.99 for the heat protectant and the sleek hairspray was around the £3.90 mark so not very pricey at all and the actual products are amazing but I will talk about that in my review. Plus the fact that Cheryl Cole endorses them pushed me to purchase these as lets be honest who doesn't want Cheryl's hair?!

Loose Powder!

So lately anyone who knows me will tell you I have been obsessed with the one and only Kim Kardashian lately! I am forever obsessed with the Kardasians to be truthful but lately Kim has been my fave! I am planning on using my birthday shopping spree to get some products to mimic Kims makeup (I will never ever look as good as she does but at least I can try! haha) and loose powder is a huge part of the makeup look and most of you are probably screaming at the screen "It's Ben Nye's Banana powder she uses!" Yes. Believe me when I say that I am fully aware of this but for now I thought I would give this a whirl until I get my Ben Nye. I kind of ordered it in a rush Tuesday morning and so I hadn't watched any reviews or anything before I purchased it but Collection really know how to make inexpensive yet pigmented products as I also religiously worship their concealer so that and this should go hand in hand. So far I am loving it! It definately provides that under eye highlight if you leave it to 'cook' or sink into the skin before sweeping it off and blending it out. The only thing that irritates me a little is that it's very messy as is any loose powder but make sure you do your makeup in your PJ's so as not to ruin your outfit! It is also a tiny bit darker than I imagined since it is shade 1, it is still light but I want a dramatic-ish under eye highlight which it still does but not as well as Ben nye obviously but it is only £2.99 with which you get 20 grams of product which is incredible!

This is kind of in a weird backwards order but this is one of the L'OREAL Elnett products that I purchased and it is the volumising heat protectant that claims to leave hair volumised for a maximum of 3 days! It was £3.99 and it is the one product in this haul that I have yet to try out. Since I have quite long hair that is ombred, it is very important that I protect my hair from heat damage and I trust L'OREAL to do this. It is in really cool packaging that has a 3D effect on the bottle and it also has a lock button near the top which locks the spray trigger so that if you were to pack this and something pushed it, you wouldn't get heat protectant all over your belongings which is always a good thing! I have sprayed it quickly to test it and it is quite thick in consistency, not like a mousse but it definitely isn't a fine or mist like texture but I will let you know how I get on with that soon!

L'OREAL Elnett satin sleek hairspray is my new fave and I've only had it a day! It keeps flyaways at bay relatively well whilst adding shine to the hair. I have found that it also makes my hair softer which is mind blowing for a hairspray! This hairspray is designed for sleek hairstyles such as a slick ponytail, buns, loose curls, it would look awesome on straightened hair! It is described on Superdrug to be best for long hair and I presume this is because people with longer hair are more likely to do these loose hairstyles as anything to big and tight will weigh the hair down and will often just fall out of place! I highly recommend this hairspray! It comes out really easily and keeps my long thick hair in place which is hard to do! I tend to get this 'halo' of flyaways if I put my hair up on a windy day and this hairspray kept the vast majority of my baby hairs in place and in a slicked back ponytail on a windy day (today haha) so this stuff is liquid miracles for me! I had to take my hair down halfway through the day and I could run my fingers through my hair very easily and it didn't feel like I had hairspray in there at all! If anything my hair felt softer! This hairspray also doesn't have that chemical, disgusting smell to it, it just smells quite nice!

Woah that was a big ramble today! I hope you enjoyed it none the less and I hope it helped you in some way! Enjoy the rest of your week and I will see you in my next post! If you follow me on Twitter then you'll probably see me in about 5 minutes haha. #twitteraddict

Bye my lovelies!
